Sawyer – Tall, Blonde and Hunky! Say hello to fabulous Sawyer! Things weren’t always so fabulous for Sawyer since he was found as a stray, and was picked up by animal control. He wasn’t able to tell us where he wandered away from, but we can tell you he was having a hard time finding food. When he was rescued by Houndhaven, he was very thin, and he decided that the life of adventure just wasn’t for me anymore! All the love, attention, and FOOD that has been showered on him at Houndhaven has been amazing, and now he’s ready to find his forever home.
Sawyer is a handsome, six year old, yellow lab. He’s not a scrawny boy anymore, and weighs a healthy 76 pounds…and that’s 76 pounds of pure love! Sawyer loves, and we means LOVES to play with all of the fluffy, squeaky toys, and really loves when we play fetch with him. He also loves to snuggle up against the volunteers, and thinks getting hugged on and pet by the volunteers is pretty amazing.
Sawyer is housebroken, knows “sit”, and is very eager to please so he will surely learn plenty more. We describe him as the best of both worlds – a boy that can chill with you on the sofa, and a fella that loves to play and go for walks with you as well! If you’ve been looking for a new family member that’s the perfect combination of looks, fun, and likes couch potato time too, Sawyer is the boy for you! At this time, a wonderful volunteer has covered half of Sawyer’s adoption fee. Please visit www.houndhaven.org to review our adoption policies and procedures, and complete an application.
Meet Snickers! Everyone loves a Golden! This handsome Golden Retriever is a just 2 years old, and he’s looking for his forever family. Snickers currently weighs 65lbs, so he’s looking for a home with a yard to stretch and play in. He’s very playful and loves to “wrestle.” Snickers is an extremely smart boy. He knows “sit,” “stay,” “come,” as well as some other commands. He also appears to be housetrained! Snickers would do best in an active family, especially one with adventurous and fun-loving kids!

Hi there big world…. My name is Buster – I am looking for a cool place to call my home. I am a super friendly and very handsome young lab, but I have something else in my ingredients list, just not sure what it is. I have a lot of energy, but I can be calm too. I would love to have a fenced yard where I could run, play and chase toys. I get along well with other dogs too. I am not a fan of cats. I am a young fellow, so I need someone who is dog savvy to show me the ropes and guide me to be the best dog I can be. If you feel I am the right match for you, please call 352-240-1583.

Greyhound Adoptions. Come join us on Saturday, August 4th, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Irish Trails Farm & Pet Supply in Clermont at 102 S. Hwy 27, Clermont, FL 34711 (352) 243-0924 to meet retired racing greyhounds ready for adoption. This beautiful and ancient breed makes an ideal house pet due to their gentle nature. They shed very little and, despite their speed, can be quite calm. In fact, in retirement, they are known as “the 40 mile an hour couch potato”. These are mature, adult dogs and they transition very easily into homes. Most get along great with other dogs and children and many are cat friendly, as well. Get to know these wonderful animals and speak with local greyhound owners. God’s Greyts Greyhound Group 407-578-7496. Find out more at www.godsgreyts.com
