Adopt A Pet

Well Kennedy has been waiting to make his big debut, and the day has finally come! Kennedy is one of three puppy siblings that came to Houndhaven in June. We found the adorable little trio at animal control where they had been picked up as strays with no sign of a mama (imagine how scary that was). Not only had life started out “ruff” for the the little trio, it got even harder, before it got better. Each one ended up having parvo, which is a very nasty virus, and thank goodness each little pup pulled through. Kennedy was a little smaller than his sisters, and gave us a bit of a scare at first, but we knew he was a fighter, and he bounced back with full force to muscle his way past his sisters for the kibble bowl!
Kennedy, along with his sisters, Kelsey and Kiely, have brought high spirited puppy high jinks back to Houndhaven. But, as all good things must come to an end, Kelsey and Kiely have found their “furever” homes, leaving Kennedy wondering what’s a kid gotta do to get into his forever home. Kennedy said he’s got the looks, the personality, and lots of energy to keep you on the go…go…go!
Kennedy is a sweet four month old black lab mix. He is an eager, curious, funny, playful puppy, but he also has a calmness to him and loves to be held and snuggled. Like any fun loving puppy, toys are the bomb to him, as was playing with his siblings. We think Kennedy is just playing hard to get, and is holding out for that one special family…could it be you?
If you are interested in adopting this spunky puppy, and are willing to invest the extra time and attention that puppies need, please visit to review our adoption policies and procedures, and complete an application.

Jeannine is the last of her litter! This spunky and adorable girl is only 3 months old. She does great with other puppies and with humans. Jeannine is always looking for an adventure and LOVES to play! Jeannine is a Poodle and Wire-Haired Terrier Blend, and we think she will stay small, likely no more than 15 lbs once she’s fully grown. Jeannine was the first of her group to learn how to use puppy pads and the doggy door, so she is one smart lady! Jeannine enjoys cuddling and napping next to her humans whenever she isn’t playing.
Come on out and adopt me or one of my friends! There are on average 150 dogs and 50 cats waiting for families to discover them at The Animal League!
