Arlene And Carmella…They Go Together Like Peanut Butter And Jelly!

Posted on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 9:05 am

Going through life is better when you have somebody by your side, just ask Arlene and Carmella. They have been there for each other their entire lives and stuck together even when their owners surrendered them to animal control because they were moving and couldn’t take them with them. Houndhaven heard they were in need of rescue and couldn’t stand the idea of the girls not being rescued together. We’ve enjoyed seeing how much they love each other’s company and will be looking for a forever home for them to stay together forever.
Arlene is a 7-year old yellow lab, and Carmella is an 8-year old chocolate lab. If you look up sugar and spice in the dictionary, you will find a picture of these two beautiful girls next to the definition of sweet as sweet can be! Arlene and Carmella say age is just a number, and they feel young at heart. They enjoy each other’s company and love playing together, sleeping next to each other, and just knowing that the other one is just a few paw steps away.
Arlene and Carmella enjoy playing with toys, and Carmella really likes gnawing on her Nylabone. They love going for walks together, and walk nicely on their leashes as well. Both are proud to say they are ladies and are housebroken. They truly enjoy being around people, and enjoy back scratches and belly rubs. You know how loyal and loving one dog is, can you imagine how amazing life will be when these two double that feeling? Dogs are like potato chips or chocolate…who can have just one?!
Arlene and Carmella stuck by each other through thick and thin, and we don’t want that to ever stop. Neither did our volunteers, and one generously stepped up to cover one of their adoption fees. If you are looking for double the loving, double the fun, Carmella and Arlene will give you tons, tons, tons! Please visit www.houndhaven.org to review our adoption policies and procedures, and complete an application.
