Posted on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 8:40 am

Each year Beta Theta, ESA awards scholarship to three local graduates from south Lake High schools. This year, the $1,500 scholarships were awarded to Silkia Gonzalez, East Ridge High; Steven Robledo, Lake Minneola High; and Dayna Rivera Colon, South Lake High School.
The scholarships and other charitable contributions are made possible by the Beta Theta Mardi Gras Celebration, an annual themed fundraiser. Beta Theta was able to raise over $17,000 at its last gala and all proceeds were distributed to local scholarships and charitable organizations throughout the south Lake Community.
Beta Theta, a community service organization, has been in existence for nearly 40 years and during that time has actively donated time and service to the South Lake Community.
Save the Date! Beta Theta will be celebrating its 15th Mardi Gras Celebration at Clermont Performing Arts Center on February 23, 2019.

Steven Robledo, a graduating student at Lake Minneola High School, received a $1,500 Beta Theta Sisters Memorial Scholarship from Beta Theta member Lucy Hage.
