Beta Theta, An ESA Philanthropic Sorority donated $500 to the Boys & Girls Club South Lake Unit. Lucy Hage, who is in Beta Theta and who also sits on the Board of the South Lake Unit of the Boys & Girls Club, presented the check to Tracy Jones. It is with great pleasure that Beta Theta presented this check to this wonderful organization that helps kids and families.
The Boys & Girls Club of Lake & Sumter County have several locations and the one here in Clermont is the South Lake Unit located the Clermont Arts & Recreation at 3700 S. Hwy 27. Their Mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
They engage youth in programs that encourage academic success, healthy life styles and good character and citizenship. It is a non-profit organization and Tracy Jones, the South Lake Unit Director has spent the last 20 years in the non-profit center working to elevate and increase the quality of life for children and families. In October of 2010 she was promoted to South Lake Unit Director.
Beta Theta raises the money to give out to the organizations in our community at our annual Mardi Gras. So look out for next year’s Mardi Gras so that we can continue making a difference in this community.
