Hernando Audubon Trip to View Nesting Purple Martins: Saturday, May 4, 9 AM Meet at Remington Outpost, 26300 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. Caravan from there a short distance to a private residence where many Purple Martins are breeding and will be feeding their young. Hernando Audubon Society will have its end-of-season picnic on Thursday, May 9, at Chinsegut Conservation Center, 23212 Lake Lindsey Road, Brooksville. There will be a bird walk at 5 PM, and picnic at 6 PM. Participants are asked to bring their own place settings and a side dish to share.
