The August Chamber Breakfast, held on Friday, August 18 at the Clermont City Center, sponsored by CarePlus Health Plans, included several inspiring stories and a demonstration unlike any other.
The morning kicked off with a special award presentation honoring Tandy Hammond of Buses and Backpacks, who was awarded the Ann Dupee Gem of the Hills Award for her exceptional community service (pictured above).
The program then featured a hands-on self-defense demonstration, given by Keynote speaker, Chief Charles “Chuck” Broadway of Clermont Police Department. Chief Broadway, along with several guest speakers and volunteer recruits from the audience, learned some live-action self-defense moves in an effort to build awareness of what the Clermont Police Department is doing to promote safety and the well-being of the residents of South Lake County.
Join us for September Chamber Breakfast on Friday, September 15 for a presentation on Improving Your Professional Online Identity by Mikel Jorgensen, Chess Club Media.
