“Clear the Shelter” Event

Nearly 3,000 Lake County shelter pets have found loving homes this year. The Lake County Board of County Commissioners and the Lake County Animal Shelter support Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive supported by NBC and Telemundo. Help us find loving homes for animals in need. Let’s Clear the Shelter on Saturday, Aug. 19!

What: Clear the Shelters Pet Adoption Event! All adoptions on Saturday are free and sponsored by LEASH, Inc. Adopters will also receive a $200 VIP Pet Care voucher and goodie bags (while supplies last) containing tennis ball, treats and more sponsored by “Bring Blondie Home.”
Where: Lake County Animal Shelter, 28123 County Road 561, Tavares
When: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19

More than 53,000 pets nationwide were adopted during last year’s event. Hundreds of shelters in 20 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico will waive or discount fees as part of the one-day adoption drive. Find out more at www.cleartheshelters.com.
