Clerbrook RV Resort residents have presented Cornerstone Hospice Foundation with a check for $51,000, the result of the community’s annual Cornerstone Hospice Week held in January.
The check was presented at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont and all proceeds will be used for patient care and upkeep of the house. This year’s effort brings the total raised by the Clerbrook community over the last 26 years to $785,000.
A golf car rodeo, ice cream social, live performances and golf tournament were just a few of the activities held during the week of fun-raising.
“This generosity that you all continue to provide allows us to provide the extra nice touches like Cornerstone SALUTES! program for veterans, Pet Peace of Mind which keeps patients and their pets together for as long as possible, and the Gold Standard award which allow staff to spend up to $150 on a patient to take care of anything that would be of help to them or the family,” said Nick Buchholz, Executive Director of the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation. “We feel immense gratitude for their loyalty.”
