Boy Scout Mulch Sale

Clermont Boy Scout Troop 551 is currently taking orders for yard mulch as part of our Summer Camp fundraiser. All proceeds will help pay for Troop 551 to attend summer camp at Camp Rainey Mountain, located near Atlanta, GA.

Now through March 4, residents in Clermont and the immediate surrounding area can place an order for mulch. Two cubic foot bags of cypress mulch and two cubic foot bags of red mulch are available for $4 each bag with a 5 bag minimum order. The mulch will be delivered to their residence on March 11, 2012.

Residents from outside the Clermont and surrounding areas are also welcome to order mulch. Although we are unable to deliver outside Clermont and the surrounding area, orders for residents outside this area can be picked up at the American Legion, Post 55 in Clermont on the morning of March 11, 2012.

Mulch sales are very important to the troop. Past mulch sales funding was used to purchase our troop trailer, replace troop equipment and attend Summer Camp and visit Washington, D.C.

Orders can be placed and pre-paid with PayPal or credit card using the 'Donate Button' on the Troop 551 website (www.troop551.net). Cash, check or money order payable to "Troop 551" will be accepted upon delivery.

All orders must include the customer's name, the number of bags of mulch, type of mulch, delivery address, and a phone number so the Troop can call and confirm the order.

Established in 2002, Troop 551 is chartered by the American Legion, Post 55 in Clermont. The Troop serves South Lake County in several events throughout the year including Scouting for Food, Community Flag Ceremonies, Parades, and various Service Projects throughout the area.

Other activities include Monthly Campouts, out-of-state Summer Camp, Central Florida Scout Show, etc. Troop 551 holds weekly meetings at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Clermont.
