Opera at the Library
Friday, February 3, 2012
Opera at the Library kicked off the New Year 2012 on Jan 23rd with a spectacular performance of Verdi's Otello, and our 70 guests were greeted to the event with a brand new poster board display that announces the current monthly program, courtesy of our Friends of the Opera. Opera at the Library is in its second year of bringing great cultural and fine arts programming at the Cooper Memorial Library, and this year we will be embarking on our much-anticipated Bel Canto cycle, bringing the very best of Rossini, Mozart, Donizetti, and Bellini favorites, starting on March 26th with the beloved Bizet classic Carmen.
Join us on the fourth Monday of every month from 1:45 - 5 pm in Room 108 B of the Cooper Memorial Library for great taped live opera performances from around the world, that feature the finest singers, orchestras, and productions. All performances have English subtitles and everyone who truly enjoys music is strongly encouraged to attend these enlightening and entertaining programs.
