Angie & Duke Snodgrass raise, provide training, then gift exceptional bloodhounds to law enforcement at little or no cost. Their son Kody was a Lake County Deputy Sheriff, a road deputy and on the tactical team. Kody's young life ended in tragedy in 2001. 832 was Kody's badge number and that's how this non-profit foundation was born.

Puppies are given to foster parents at 7-8 weeks of age, where they are socialized until about age 7-8 months. The dogs are exposed to many sounds, sites, and locations, using their exceptionally sensitive sense of smell. Once trained the dogs are donated to law enforcement. To date we have over 130 working dogs across the U.S. and overseas. The Lake County Sheriff's Dept. Bloodhound search and rescue team is made up from our dogs. The cost to raise, train and transport them and then train their new handler is approximately $12,000 per dog.

Sometime in March we plan to have a large yard sale in Clermont with 100% of the proceeds to go to 832 K-9's Deputy Dogs. For information on how to sponsor, donate or volunteer, please visit the website deputydogs.org. Our 501(c)(3) non profit status means your donations may be tax deductible. By contributing you are helping to save lives, find lost children and locate fleeing bad guys. For more information, please contact Faith Monroe at 352-516-8572.
