Haven Office Has Moved

The shared office of The Haven of Lake & Sumter Counties and The Renaissance Group of Central Florida, Inc. have moved from their old location at 2105 Hartwood Marsh Road to their new office located at 345 N. Hwy 27 Clermont, FL 34711.

The Haven offers services in domestic violence, financial assistance, sexual assault, substance abuse, training & education, as well as a teen dating violence program. ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FREE.

Domestic violence, or battering is a pattern of abusive behaviors that some individuals use to control their intimate partners. Battering can include physical, sexual and emotional abuse, and other controlling actions.

The purpose of the Renaissance Group of Central Florida, Inc., is to provide educational and supportive social services to homeless, economically disadvantaged, unemployed and underemployed community residents by providing services such as resume writing, job training, advocacy, and supportive services. In addition, informational and referral services will be provided to link the homeless and community residents to existing health, educational and social services with the goal of diminishing high rates of unemployment, crime, homelessness, illiteracy and poor access to health care. The goal of the organization is to assist and support its clients as they work to attain self-sufficiency.
