Foundation Academy Finishes 2-1 During Holiday Break

Foundation Academy's Jeff Trudeau shoots a 3-point shot over a high flying Whitman Hanson opponent while #25 Alex Apuzzo & #22 Karlan Smith move into position. Whitman Hanson traveled from Massachusetts to play several local teams during the holiday break.

The Foundation Academy Lions boy's varsity basketball team traveled to Naples, Florida over the holiday break to play in the First Baptist Academy Holiday Shootout. The Lions won their first game 67-61 over host team First Baptist Academy. Alex Apuzzo was high scorer for Foundation Academy with 16 points. Foundation then went on to lose a close game 51-48 to Neumann High School. The Lions returned home to play the Whitman Hanson Panthers from Whitman Massachusetts and the Lions got back on the winning track by beating the Panthers 54-51. Jeff Trudeau scored 15 points in the 1st quarter, shooting 3 for 3 from behind the three point line and led all scorers with a game high total of 24 points. Foundation Academy (10-6 overall and 1-1 in District) continue District 2A play with an upcoming game against Pine Castle Christian Academy.
