Do Something Good for Yourself. Become a Cornerstone Hospice Volunteer.
Experts agree. Volunteering is good for your body and your mind.
Cornerstone Hospice invites north Lake County residents to the September volunteer training to learn how they can help others while helping themselves.
Cornerstone Hospice volunteers may visit patients at home or in a facility to offer friendly conversation and give family members a break to run errands. Cornerstone volunteers also help out in the office, walk patients’ dogs or honor fellow veterans in Cornerstone’s care.
Hours are flexible and volunteers can choose the areas they want to work including Tavares, Eustis, Mount Dora and Leesburg. Bilingual volunteers are especially appreciated.
All Cornerstone Hospice volunteers participate in training classes and the next class will be held later this month in Tavares.
