Clermont residents are invited to dance in the street, enjoy food and drinks with a salsa flavor and watch Chihuahua racing. A little different? Yes. Fun? Definitely! It’s the city’s Sips and Salsa Festival on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the newly reinvented Minneola Avenue in downtown Clermont.
This free event will feature live music with the Latin beats of Mambo Lebron and His Orchestra. There will be dancing in the street, a salsa-making competition, cultural cuisine, a domino tournament, cigar demonstrations, a kids’ zone and Chihuahua races.
Lebron and his orchestra have recently played at some of the country’s hottest entertainment venues, including B.B. Kings in Times Square and the Copacabana in New York City and previously performed at Carnegie Hall and Madison Square Garden. The orchestra consists of several lead singers, piano, bass, congas, timbales, bongo/bell, three trumpets and three trombones.
