Girl Scouts – Where Girls Grow Strong

Posted on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 1:34 am

It’s not a campaign, it’s a way of life for an organization dedicated to making Girl Scouts inclusive for all girls from all walks of life.
Girl Scouting gives girls the confidence and skills they need to grow into strong women and leaders in their communities. Girl Scouts are involved in every activity imaginable: they canoe and crochet; study photography and photosynthesis; silk screen and sing; and weave and windsurf. They travel around the country and the world exploring other cultures and discovering each other.
Girl Scouts of Citrus Council invites all girls aged 5-17 to join. There are five age levels of Girl Scouting: Daisy Girl Scouts, kindergarten or grade 1; Brownie Girl Scouts, grades 1-3; Junior Girl Scouts, grades 3-6; Cadette Girl Scouts, grades 6-9; and Senior Girl Scouts, grades 9-12. Adults can also join the fun by becoming troop leaders, service team members and trainers, just to name a few. For more information about enrolling your daughter or becoming an adult volunteer, call 407-896-4475 or 800-367-3906.
Girl Scouts of the USA is the world’s pre-eminent organization for girls, with a membership of more than 3.7 million girls and adults. Today, as when founded in 1912, GSUSA helps cultivate values, social conscience and self-esteem in young girls, while also teaching them critical life skills that will enable them to succeed as adults. In Girl Scouting – and it’s special girl-only environment – girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together.
