To celebrate the 50 Year Anniversary,, since the release of Disney’s Herbie The Love Bug in theaters around the world, a local group of individuals who actually own Herbie’s will be coming into the area to celebrate.
On March 15th in the morning, the cars will be cruising (35-40 cars) from Disney to Clermont, setting up for photo ops at various places, having a picnic lunch, etc. The cars will be at Showcase of Citrus from 10-10:30 a.m., at Victory Pointe between 10:45 and 11:10 and at Lake Hiawatha Preserve for lunch between 12:00 and 12:55. The cars will travel down Anderson Hill Road around 1:45-2:15 p.m.
We also are going to be showing The Love Bug on a giant drive-in movie screen down at the new Dezer Action Park on International Drive starting around 7:30. All VW’s are welcome but there will be a $10/car fee.
This is a great opportunity for the public to view the cars and/or talk to the owners. It will be great fun to see this group of iconic cars traveling in a group!
