The nine-hour educational program will be held from 9 a.m. – noon on October 13th, 20th and 27th at the Lake County Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares. The classes will be presented by UF/IFAS Extension Agent Brooke Moffis. Registration is $40 and is available online atlake.ifas.ufl.edu. Space is limited. Participants are required to attend all three classes, which will address frequently asked questions and problems in the home landscape. The series is being offered to give participants both classroom and hands-on training on how to calibrate a fertilizer spreader, install a micro-irrigation system, and select plant materials. Participants will receive micro-irrigation supplies, a Plant Selection and Landscape Design Guide.
