JOSEPH P. (PAUL) COWHEY, 75, of Groveland, FL went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2015 while traveling in Spain. Paul was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to New Jersey in 1973. He was employed by Smith Barney in New York City for 38 years. Mr. Cowhey served in the U.S. military for four years and received an honorable discharge. He and his wife, Beverly, moved to Florida in 2003. Mr. Cowhey was an active member in his church, The Church at South Lake, Clermont. He loved playing golf and poker in the Trilogy community where he resided, and will be missed by many friends. He had also volunteered at South Lake Hospital for several years. Survivors: his wife of 28 years, Beverly; step-children, John Sellmeyer (Dianne) of Old Bridge, NJ, Patricia Mendola (Bryant) of Old Bridge, NJ, Jim Sellmeyer (Debra) of Manalapan, NJ and Jeffrey Sellmeyer (Teresa) of Old Bridge, NJ; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Colin, Joseph, Michael, Hannah and Amanda of New Jersey, whom he cherished dearly. A cremation was held in Bilbao, Spain.
