On August 15, 2017, Sheriff Peyton Grinnell and Lt. Mark Stauffer of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office were present at the meeting of the Kiwanis Club of Clermont. They thanked the members of the club for their contribution to the success of the annual “Project Kid Connect” which took place on July 15, 2017. Sheriff Grinnell said that, during this year’s event, six-hundred and fifty (650) Back Packs full of supplies were distributed to needy children from South Lake County. He said that they are blessed because of clubs like ours. He thanked us on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office, children and citizens of this community and presented us with a Certificate of Appreciation.
