Sons of American Legion Help the Community

Posted on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at 1:51 am

The Sons of The American Legion, Post 55 of Clermont (an organization that consists of sons and grandsons of veterans that served in wars) and The Read to Sydney Foundation, a 501C3 not for profit organization, have collaborated to help the special needs children, youths and young adults of our community.
The Sons consist of approximately 140 dedicated members. Their goal as Sons is to help homeless veterans; families of veterans and veterans in need. We are also honored to support our special needs community including ROTC; Boys Scouts of America; Read to Sydney; the Special Olympics of Clermont and our Autistic Families.
This year will be our 17th annual Christmas Party and Thanksgiving dinner for our homeless vets and their families. The Sons consists of all volunteers raising money for our charities that are doing amazing things for our community. Even with our post burning down over 4 years ago, the Sons were committed to fundraise for our local charities.
If you would like to help us and help our community, we are in need of community support, donations and new members.
We would like to invite the community to visit us at our new building, located at 1063 West Desoto, Clermont 34711.
