The South Lake Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) will host the first ever South Lake Business Awards on May 3 at Bella Collina at 6:00 p.m. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased through the Chamber’s website, www.southlakechamber-fl.com, or by calling the Chamber office at 352-394-4191.
The South Lake Business Awards is the premier business awards program in the South Lake area. The event will start with a cocktail hour on Bella Collina’s ballroom patio overlooking the beautiful grounds of the club, followed by dinner and a program, which includes:
Best of South Lake Awards
Citizen of the Year Award. This award honors a South Lake Resident who has displayed extraordinary dedication to the community.
Oakley Seaver Special Service Award. This award honors a nonprofit business, club, organization, educational institution or healthcare facility that has contributed significantly to the community and created a lasting impact or benefit.
Heritage Award. This award recognizes businesses or organizations that have shown continued contributions to the business community. The nominee must have been active in the community for 25 years or more.
The Best of South Lake awards are determined by a survey which is open to the public and can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/r/SouthLakeBusinessAwards2017. The voting will be open until April 21.
The South Lake Chamber of Commerce began as the Clermont Chamber of Commerce in February 1922, when it absorbed its forerunner, the Board of Trade. In 1996, several Lake County chambers of commerce merged to create the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, which has become the collective voice of the business community.
