Special Pets of the Week!

Posted on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 9:38 am

Meet Sweet Buddy! Buddy is a very sweet lab/hound mix, around 7-8 years old, gets along well with other dogs, loves all people. This poor boy has gone through many disappointments in his life. Everyone at RTR is giving Buddy plenty of love and TLC. He is truly a sweetheart!
Buddy says “Are you looking for an emotionally secure, mutually satisfying, low maintenance relationship? I am all you need. Let me sit at your feet, walk by your side, and I’ll be your devoted companion forever.” Buddy will be loyal to you to the moon and back. He is looking for a human companion to be his best friend, hold his paw, guide him and love him. If you are looking to make a difference in a dog’s life, you are the person for Buddy. We feel Buddy will do better if he could be in a home environment even if he could have a foster home until he finds his forever family. Please call 352-240-1583 if you would be interested in meeting Buddy.

Leonardo…He Wants To Paint Beautiful Pictures With You! Let Leonardo set down his paintbrush while we introduce this handsome fellow to you. While he signs all his works with the name Leonardo, his close friends call him Leo. Leo wasn’t always a dashing artisan, as he was making his way as a stray in Northwest Florida not long ago. Luckily, he was rescued by Houndhaven, and has been inspired to paint pictures of happy days ahead.
Leo is a good-looking, one-year-old black lab. This dashing boy weighs 60 pounds and has a youthful zest for life. Leo not only has a love for art, he also loves showering people with affection, and enjoys receiving it just as much. He has made several doggie friends while at Houndhaven, and is quite the ladies man, especially with Trudy and Cleo.
Leo knows “sit” and is eager to learn much more if given the opportunity. He enjoys going for walks, which helps inspire him for his next work of art. Leo does well with baths and loves playing with toys. He loves going out to adoption events and meeting lots of new people.
Leo was once a struggling artist on the streets, but his life has taken a turn for the better. He wants to find his forever family, and paint a beautiful family portrait that includes him. If you’ve been looking for a fun-loving, handsome boy that will paint your future happy, please visit www.houndhaven.org to review our adoption policies and procedures, and complete an application.
