Posted on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 1:22 am

Supporters of The Animal League are joining forces to organize a live Chicago Tribute Concert. The concert will raise funds for the life-saving work of The Animal League, an animal advocacy and welfare non-profit organization located in Groveland, FL. The headlining entertainment is the Orlando Transit Authority band. This band has it all, an over the top horn section, fantastic musicianship, and a high-energy live stage show. Select adorable adoptable pets from The Animal League’s adoption shelter will also be on-site for ticket-holders to visit before the show.
The concert will be held Sunday, March 11, 2018, from 3 – 5 p.m. at Mount Dora Community Building, 520 N. Baker Street, Mount Dora, FL 32757. Venue Phone: 352-735-7183
The Animal League rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes 1,000+ abused, neglected, and homeless cats and dogs each year. On average medical care costs for a pet entering our doors can exceed $450, not including operating expenses to keep pets comfortable, well-fed, and cared for.
The Animal League receives no funding from the county, government, or taxpayers. The Chicago Tribute Concert fundraising event is expected to sell out, drawing 600 concert-goers, and generating about $10,000 from ticket revenue for The Animal League to continue its mission-critical programs.
Numerous businesses are supporting this fundraising concert including premiere Pedigree sponsor, Florida Plus Realty. Also sponsoring are Plaza Cadillac, All Care Animal Hospital, Cagan Management Group, Logan, Bowyer & McCullough, P.A., RedFin, Hapkido Brothers Academy, Computer Business Consultants, FBC Mortgage, Mark’s Floors, and Bacchus Vino Etcetera. Additional businesses are welcome.
