Volunteers Sought to Help People in Need

Why join a gym when can you get your exercise for free?
FAITH (Feed And Instruct The Hungry) Neighborhood Center is the premier food pantry for all of south Lake County. It serves, not only those with needs in the five cities of south Lake County, but it is also the government-designated location for FEMA and emergency food services. In that latter role, it helps families displaced by the numerous hurricanes that effected Florida and the Caribbean islands.
FNC serves over 35,000 pounds of food every month and all that food needs to be loaded into the warehouse, moved to the pantry, and distributed to families in need. If you are able to lift and carry 20-30 pound boxes and flats of food, we could use your help. We need help Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 9-noon and on Thursday from 1-4 at 14727 Timber Village Road, Groveland.
To volunteer, visit or call 352-429-1200 and ask to speak to Sondra. For more information about the FNC, visit our website
