When Will the Real Estate Bubble Burst?

Posted on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 1:48 am

Brandie Mathison-Klein of Keller Williams Classic III Realty in Clermont is offering local homeowners a “no strings attached” home valuation. “Buyer demand in south Lake County is still strong and inventory is low,” explains Brandie, a veteran of the local real estate market and leader of the Mathison-Klein Group. Typically, that would translate into a strong seller’s market and values continuing upward. However, interest rates are having an effect. “With mortgage rates rising, we are beginning to see a decrease in buyer demand,” Brandie continues, “some buyers have quit looking because there aren’t enough homes that fit their criteria, and others are simply priced out of buying altogether.” All of this could be an indication that the market may have begun shifting for the first time in many years.
If you have been on the fence about selling, maybe waiting to see if the values will go higher, now may be the time to consider your options. “It may or may not be in your best interest to sell right now,” Brandie concludes, “but if you have been considering a move for the future, it’s important to be informed now. And we would be happy to sit down with you and evaluate your home and your options.”
Over the past decade, no other agent has sold more volume of residential real estate in Lake County than Brandie. She has a team of professionals on staff dedicated to giving her clients an edge in the process. Contact Brandie at (352) 432-3200 or visit
